Help support your local Museum
We are extremely grateful to our volunteers whose time and effort have brought so much to the museum and its visitors.
Some of our volunteers carry out specific projects, such as the restoration of the exhibits, others perform tasks that are part of the day-to-day running of the Museum. Either way, the help of volunteers is integral to the smooth running of the Museum and its continuing development. Whatever your background or experience, we are always looking for volunteers who can make a contribution, no matter how big or small.

Donating to NELSAM
We welcome donations or long term loans of any item or artefact that fit within our collection policy. We are building a substantial archive, so books, photographs and other memorabilia especially with a North-East connection is of particular interest.
For larger or bulk items the museum can arrange collection and transportation back to the museum. Any person donating items or artefacts will be asked to complete and sign a form so a record of the transaction can be kept for reference.
