Seahouses Marine Operations Station

Seahouses, originally known as Elford was first used by 77(HD)Sqn as a landing ground from February 1917. It became a Marine Operations Station in May 1918 with 256Sqn becoming resident and renamed to Seahouses on 3rd October 1918. The site finally occupied 92 acres of land measuring 800 x 550 yards and was in operation between February 1917 and March 1919.
